Zita Sattar (born in 1975 in Birmingham) appeared in Coronation Street in May and June 2020 as Katrina Ward, the paediatric consultant who diagnosed Oliver Battersby's terminal mitochondrial condition.
She was one of the founding members of Birmingham's Central Junior Television Workshop and attended the Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in London.
She has also appeared in Y.E.S., Backup, Hale and Pace, Drop The Dead Donkey, Heartburn Hotel, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Holby City, the regular role of Anna Paul in Casualty from 2001 to 2003, According to Bex, Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, Prisoners Wives, Lovelife, Derek, Call the Midwife, Mount Pleasant, Flowers, Doctors, The Rebel, Creeped Out, Vera, Years and Years, The Worst Witch and I Hate Suzie.
Film roles include The Final Curtain, Esther Kahn, Janice Beard 45wpm, West is West and Large.
On stage she was in the original cast of East is East and has also been seen in Top Girls, Clubbed Out, Let's Go to the Fair, Hansel and Gretel, One Night, D'yer Eat with your Fingers and Romeo and Juliet.
