Zienia Merton (11th December 1945 - 14th September 2018) appeared on Coronation Street between August and September 2008 as a Doctor who tended to Jerry Morton when he was hospitalised due to being deliberately being given higher doses of medication by ex-wife Teresa Bryant.

Zienia lived in Singapore, Borneo and was schooled in Portugal. Her childhood wish was to become a dancer, and upon securing her father's agreement she was registered at the dancing and acting school led by the "Arts Education Trust" in Tring, Hertfordshire.
