Yvonne Nicholson appeared on Coronation Street in both January 1977 and March 1979 as Sally Norton, a mentally unstable young mother who befriended Deirdre Langton.
Her other credits include roles in Consider Your Verdict, Once Upon a Time, Beryl's Lot, Boy Dominic, Marked Personal, Rooms, Middlemen, Crown Court, Strangers, Hazell, Juliet Bravo and the 1983 fantasy horror film Screamtime.
On stage, she appeared in the Royal Shakespeare Company productions of The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet and Henry IV. Other works include Liolà, Great and Small, On the Road to Jerusalem and Machinal.
