The Young Boy came to collect his newly-repaired racing bike from Brian Tilsley in August 1982.
On the first day of working as a boss, Brian took it upon himself to repair the bike as his first job since the chain had snapped and the boy fell off it right outside the door of S & T Garage, and told his wife Gail - who was surprised to see he was working on it - that even William Morris first started out with repairing bikes.
The boy clearly didn't have enough money to pay Brian as he playfully asked for the sum of £10, before telling him that the repair would be free of charge on condition that he told his pals where he'd got it fixed - although they would be expected to pay. As Brian further touted for new business, the boy confirmed that his dad owned a car, and his Uncle Sid had both a van and a car.
