The Woman freed Michelle Connor after she had been drugged in a bar and locked in the boot of her own car, left overnight in a deserted car park. The puzzled resscuer heard her sobs and cries and opened the boot. Michelle suspected that her attacker was Rich Collis, a man who had been involved with her boyfriend Robert Preston in his distant past when he had been a habitual drug user. Rich blackmailed Robert who had turned him over to the police but he and Michelle had soon after begun to suffer attacks of vandalism and harassment. Rich was the prime suspect but had cast iron alibis for each occasion. What Michelle didn't suspect was that her true kidnapper was Will Chatterton, an old flame who have developed a mental illness and was dangerously infatuated with her. He had been taking advantage of the adverse situation with Rich to put Michelle through traumas that he hoped would split her and Robert apart, enabling him to step in.
