William Ivory (born 1964 in Southwell, Nottinghamshire) appeared on Coronation Street between November 1989 and March 1990 as builder, Eddie Ramsden.
After dropping out of the University of London, he worked as a binman and as a jobbing actor.
His other credits include roles in Capstick's Law, Boon, How We Used to Live, All Creatures Great and Small, Resnick: Lonely Hearts, Emmerdale, Three Seven Eleven, Common As Muck, The Sins, Rose and Maloney and The Invisibles.
On stage, he appeared in a 1985 production of Me Mam Sez for the Nottingham Playhouse Company.
On the other side of the camera, he penned various works including episodes of Minder, Common As Muck, The Sins, Women in Love and Truckers, as well as the scripts for the films The Closer You Get, Made in Dagenham, Bert & Dickie and The Great Escaper.
