William Ilkley (born 20th April 1958 in Leeds) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Jack Halliwell, a client of MVB Motors in January 1994; and he returned to the programme in August 1997 and April 2000 as Nick Horrocks, ex-husband of Natalie and father of Tony Horrocks.

Trained at Rose Bruford College, his credits include roles in Harry's Game, Sorrell and Son, Doctor Who, Howards' Way, Last of the Summer Wine, Dempsey and Makepeace, All Creatures Great and Small, Soldier Soldier, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Band of Gold, Judge John Deed, EastEnders, The Bill, Family Affairs, Midsomer Murders, Casualty, Doctors, Emmerdale, Holby City, The Royal and DCI Banks.

On stage he has appeared in productions of A View from the Bridge, Coriolanus, The Passion Plays, Treasure Island, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Breaking the Silence, The Rivals, Bouncers, Up 'n' Under, Widowers' Houses, Twelfth Night, Lucky Sods, Gym and Tonic, Unleashed, The Debt Collectors and Weekend Breaks.
