Wilfred Grimes was husband to Maud Grimes and father of Peggy Grimes.
In the early 1940s, Wilfred and Maud met and soon married. Their daughter Peggy was born in 1943 while another daughter, Maureen, followed in January 1945. Unbeknown to Wilfred, Maureen was not his child - she was in fact the result of an extra-marital affair between Maud and a man named Leonard "Danny" Kennedy.
Wilfred passed away without knowing the truth and it wasn't until years later, when Percy Sugden was set to marry Maud, that the truth was exposed resulting in Percy finishing his relationship with Maud disgusted by her betrayal of Wilfred.
