Wendy McConnell (born 1949 in Heywood, Lancashire) appeared in two roles on Coronation Street: in April 1969 she played a girl using a disused Peak District station to go courting with her boyfriend; and she returned to the programme as mousy hairdresser Wendy employed in Alan Howard's Salon in February 1970.
A Granada Television regular in the early 1970s, she also appeared in The Dustbinmen, The Lovers, A Family at War, Nearest and Dearest and the company's 1973 adaptation of Shabby Tiger.
