Wendy Farmer was a young nurse who answered Jack Duckworth's advertisement of a room in rent at 9 Coronation Street in November 1987. His wife Vera however offered the room to her mother Amy Burton instead - much to Jack's horror.
- Wendy was played by Sarah Lancashire, just over three years before she returned to the show to play Raquel Watts.
