Wendy Samantha Bacon (born 1970 in Oldham appeared on Coronation Street between July and August 1980 as Sharon Fletcher, who along with her younger brother Wayne, were latchkey kids from Hillside Crescent.
Despite this brief flirtation with stardom, she did not take up acting as a profession and became a nurse instead.
Wendy's real-life brother, Martyn Bacon, acted alongside her in the role of Wayne.
