Failed ceremonies[]
- 1987: Alan Bradley secretly booked for himself and Rita Fairclough but she angrily turned him down.
- 1993: Andy McDonald booked a wedding here for himself and girlfriend Amy Nelson, but soon discovered that she wouldn't be returning from Trinidad.
- 1995: Steve McDonald was due to marry Vicky Arden, but her grandfather Alec Gilroy persuaded her to marry in church instead. They ultimately married in St. Lucia.
- 2001: Danny Hargreaves refused to marry Sally Webster after he found out she slept with ex-husband Kevin.
- 2003: Sunita Parekh found out that Ciaran McCarthy didn't want to marry her.
- 2005: Ken Barlow and Deirdre Rachid's wedding ceremony was abandoned when granddaughter Amy was nearly hit by a car.
- 2006: Jason Grimshaw abandoned his wedding to Sarah Platt and fled from the building through a toilet window.
- 2009: The Registrar refused to marry Steve McDonald and Becky Granger when the bride turned up drunk.
- 2015: Michael Rodwell refused to marry Gail McIntyre - infuriated that she'd arrived late.
- 2018: Chesney Brown refused to marry Sinead Tinker, stating that he couldn't marry someone who would eventually leave him and son Joseph.
