Warren Stanhope (born 22nd August 1929 in Vancouver, Canada; died 14th February 2012 in California, United States of America) appeared on Coronation Street between June and November 1967 as Major A.J. Ryan. He made a one-off return to the role in December 1970.

His other on-screen credits include Epitaph for a Spy, The Saint, Alexander Graham Bell, R3, Court Martial, The Troubleshooters, Man in a Suitcase, Crown Court, Jake and the Fatman and Hunter.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Detective Story, The Troublemakers, Bachelor Borne, The Bride and the Bachelor, The Bride Comes Back, A Severed Head, Let's Be Frank and I Never Sang for My Father.
