Wanda Brinsley was an eccentrically-dressed pensioner friend of Blanche Hunt's. The two were supping cups of tea in Roy's Rolls when Blanche questioned Frankie Baldwin about the latest appearance of someone else in the house she had let to the Baldwins ("'I thought I'd let my house to a single chap, not the von Trapp family. Does another one pop up every day?") when Jamie disarmed her with some well-timed flattery which prompted Wanda to giggle like a schoolgirl and say how much she liked the young man. The two women later enjoyed the sight of Jamie being arrested by DC Lee for assaulting Frankie's former boyfriend Vinny Evans.
