The unnamed Waitress served at the wedding reception of Dennis Tanner and Jenny Sutton, held at the Lancastria Dining Rooms in May 1968.
Recently-arrived Corner Shop owner Les Clegg was one of the guests, desperate to hide his violent alcoholism from the neighbours and he refused champagne from the waitress, saying that the bubbles got up his nose. He asked instead for a tomato juice. Later, she offered him another but he said he would see to his own needs and left the rooms, unable to stand the temptation of the drinks around him.
