Vikram "Vik" Desai was the son of Ravi Desai and brother of Nita, and co-founder of Street Cars alongside Steve McDonald.
The Desai family moved onto Coronation Street after Ravi bought the Corner Shop. However, Vikram took issue with working under his sister and later entered into the taxi firm business.
A womaniser Vikram had relationships with Leanne Battersby and Maria Sutherland, as well as a short-term relationship with Candice Stowe until he discovered that she was underage.
