Velvey Attwood appeared on Coronation Street in May 1972 as shop assistant Ellen Page, who had a half-day trial at the corner shop.
Her other credits include roles in Z Cars, Softly Softly: Task Force, Jack the Ripper and Dixon of Dock Green.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Saturday Night at the Crown, When the Cat's Away and Glamour Girl.
