Hi, welcome to Coronation Street Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Bethany Platt page.
Can you remember to ADD the REASON OF EDITING?
I'll start by being brutally honest with you... I wasn't even going to reply to your message, but I think you've forced my hand somewhat. The rule in question (and the length of blocking - 2 weeks) has been agreed by all three admins. We're not expecting everyone to read the Manual of Style - although it would be beneficial for differing reasons, but the very same is written in the top article on the Community Messages board (the pop-up on the bottom-right of the screen to notify users that this board has been updated appears if you're signed in - or if not, the very next time you log in) and there are also two requests above on this talk page (again, the pop-up appears that there's a new message in the same manner). It's not until all of the requests/messages are ignored and the ban gets implemented that the cries of "it's unfair" start appearing. Every wiki is obviously run differently, and I'm sorry you feel so strongly on the matter - but as stated above, it's not as though there's been no attempt - on our part - to correspond with you. Thank you for your message and your research on this. I reverted the edit originally as wikipedia said one thing and IMDB another. We have had our fingers burnt before by trusting wikipedia where edits can and do go unchallenged leading to utterly false info being place there. The source you have found is unimpeachable and therefore accepted.--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 15:07, October 15, 2019 (UTC)
