Trevor Gordon Bannister (born 14th August 1934 in Durrington, Wiltshire; died 14th April 2011 in Thames Ditton, Surrey) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- Colour-blind decorator Harry Lester in July and November 1967
- Ex-con Ritchie Levitt in June 1972
- Phil, a solicitor representing both Mike and Danny Baldwin between January and August 2006.
Prior to these roles, he appeared in A Big Hand For A Little Lady, an episode of Street spin-off Turn out the Lights, transmitted in January 1967.
Probably best known for his role as junior salesman Mr. Lucas in the BBC situation comedy Are You Being Served?, starring in seven series and a film version between 1972 and 1979, his other credits included Z Cars, Moonstrike, Compact, Object Z and its sequel Object Z Returns, Mrs. Thursday, No Hiding Place, Softly Softly, Orlando, The War of Darkie Pilbeam, The Dustbinmen, The Tomorrow People, Wyatt's Watchdogs, Last of the Summer Wine, Casualty and New Tricks.
Film roles include Reach for the Sky, One Way Pendulum, Au Pair Girls, Hostage and Captain Jack.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Secret Tent, Harvey, Book of the Month, Dead on Nine, The Noble Spaniard, Mr Kettle and Mrs Moon, Towards Zero, Petticoat Fever, The House by the Lake, Billy Liar, Move Over Mrs Markham, The Mating Game, Middle Age Spread, Caught on the Hop, The Odd Couple, Out of Order and Run for Your Wife 2.
He was also the special guest on the edition of This Is Your Life, transmitted on 22nd December 1997.
