Actor Tony Broughton (6th November 1931 - 13th July 2011) played four roles in Coronation Street:
- Les Curry, a fellow retail trader of Alf Roberts who suffered a heart attack in the Corner Shop in April 1993.
- A Court Clerk at the trials of Jim McDonald and later Steve and Vicky McDonald in March and May 1996 respectively.
- The Vicar who officiated at the funeral of Maxine Peacock in January 2003.
- Neville, a taxi fare of John Stape's who was a witness to the end of his kidnapping of Rosie Webster. In this latter role, his screen spouse was played by his real-life wife June Broughton, who herself has played several roles in the series.
He also appeared in G.B.H., The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Grand, Emmerdale and Unforgiven.
He was the son of Coronation Street original and much-loved cast member Arthur Leslie who played Rovers landlord Jack Walker for the first ten years of the programme's transmission and it was Tony who had the sad duty of telephoning producer June Howson on the morning of Tuesday 30th June 1970 to inform her of his father's sudden death from a heart attack earlier that day. His mother, Betty Morton Powell, also appeared in Coronation Street in June 1963.
