Anthony Boncza (born 1955 in Fulham, London) appeared on Coronation Street in December 1981 as a salesman who showed Stan and Hilda Ogden round a show house on the River Park Estate.
Originally trained as a journalist, his career changed direction when he spent three seasons with the National Youth Theatre and attended the Central School of Speech and Drama.
His other credits include roles in Dick Turpin, For Maddie with Love, Strangers, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, EastEnders, Hotel Babylon, Doctors, The Londoners, The Sarah Jane Adventures and The Royals, along with the films Empire of the Sun and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
A co-founder of Theatre West in the early 1990s, other theatre roles include productions of Piaf, Oliver!, The Crucible, The Merchant of Venice, The Cherry Orchard, Racing Demon, Lady Windermere's Fan, Macbeth, Barbarians, Death of a Salesman, To Kill a Mockingbird, Boncza & Lumley - Back By Popular Demand, Yes Prime Minister, The Odd Couple, Indian Ink, A Small Family Business and The Mousetrap.
