Tom Watson (born "Thomas Welsh Watson" on 21st March 1932 in Auchinleck, Scotland; died 18th August 2001 in St. Andrews, Scotland) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in December 1965 as the opportunistic Frank Turner, who blackmailed Jack Walker; and he returned to the programme in July 1968 as Mr Bright, in search of his "missing" daughter, Audrey.
His other credits include Suspense, Dr. Finlay's Casebook, The Plane Makers, Z-Cars, Martin Chuzzlewit, Witch Wood, The Flying Swan, Dixon of Dock Green, Brett, Weir of Hermiston, The New Road, The Standard, The Walls of Jericho, The Nightmare Man, Take the High Road, Taggart, The Campbells, Making Out, Prime Suspect 2, Cardiac Arrest, All Along the Watchtower and Two Thousand Acres of Sky.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Fool for Love, At Our Table, The Government Inspector and Victoria.
