Tom Tunstall appeared in two roles in Coronation Street : as a lorry driver in August 2013 who ploughed his vehicle into a Nick's Bistro van occupied by Nick Tilsley and David Platt, and he returned to the programme in February 2016 as a referee at a boys football match when a bad tackle by Simon Barlow led to another player, Kyle, breaking his leg.
He has also appeared in Private Lives, Rescue Emergency, Prisoners Wives, Scott & Bailey, Doctors and Alma's Not Normal as well as the film Sea of Madness and the shorts Boy, Bullet Wound and Ballerino.
On the stage, he has had roles in Guernica, Whistling In The Dark, An Eye For An Eye, Tales From The High Toby, The Snow Queen, The Test, Fitting In, A Conversation Between John and Tom, Fit As A Fiddle, The House Next Door, Fly Away Peter, The Flood, Blinded by the Light, Of Mice And Men, 12 Miles from Nowhere, Come Rain or Shine, Into The Wild, Scab! and Umm Kulthum and the Golden Era.
