Tim Plewman played Alfie Vlok in the 2008 spin-off DVD Coronation Street: Out of Africa.
An actor, writer and director, he has also appeared in Panic Mechanic, Krakatoa: The Last Days, Wild at Heart and his own production of the South African television series The Carruthers Brothers. He and his wife, Cathy, run a highly successful production company, Plewman Productions, which has produced 18 theatre and over 160 corporate theatre shows and videos and his one-man show, Defending the Caveman, won him the Vita Award for Best Comedy Actor in 1998 and it eventually closed after nine years and 1,544 performances.
In addition, he is the author of the lighthearted health manual Fitness for Old Farts.
