Thomas Craig was born 4th December, 1962 in Sheffield. He was a plumber by trade for six years before deciding to become an actor. He subsequently studied at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. His first role was in The Paradise Club, thereafter building up a long CV of roles in series such as Inspector Morse, Between the Lines and Cadfael. He became best known for his regular role as Simon Goddard in Where the Heart is, before landing the role of Tommy Harris in Coronation Street'. His first appearance on Corrie was on 13th November 2002. His character and the Harris family were involved in major storylines during their 2 1/2 years on the programme but they never became favourites with viewers. (Richard Fleeshman as Craig Harris would eventually find favour with the audience when the rest of his family were gone.) It was decided to have Tommy Harris accidentally killed by his daughter Katy; the character died on 4th March 2005.
