Thelma Clegg was a woman who once sought out Kirk Sutherland's assistance in order to have her pet poodle Lou Lou shampooed. Impressed by his work, Thelma paid Kirk £20 and asked for him to become her full-time dog groomer. Kirk's girlfriend Fiz Brown soon became suspicious and, with the assistance of her friend Sean Tully, followed him to Thelma's house and was horrified to witness Thelma giving Kirk a show of her belly dancing routine.
