The Dog & Gun is a pub in Kylie Platt's old neighbourhood, located on the run-down Paul Robeson Estate in Wythenshawe. Kylie visited the pub in October 2014 to find her ex, Callum Logan, in order to find out more about their son Max Turner's ADHD problems. The pub was the regular haunt of Callum and his associates Gemma and Macca.
Most of the regulars were scum. At one point, Kylie confronted a man whose car she set on fire years previously. She threatened him when he kept staring at her and told her he wanted compensation.
After Kylie absconded from her family home on Christmas Day, her husband David Platt and friend Eva Price visited the Dog & Gun, hoping to garner her whereabouts from Callum but had no success. Later when Callum attempted to get David to sell drugs, Gail and Audrey visited him and his associates at The Dog & Gun where another heated exchange took place.
In October 2021, Kevin Webster looked for Abi Franklin who had disappeared after her son Seb's murderer Corey Brent was acquitted at his trial. Knowing it to be an old haunt of hers, he went there looking for anyone who had heard of her and came across Tez Wyatt, Seb's father. Tez claimed he had not heard from his ex for years, but after Kevin had left he received a phone call from her and it was obvious the two were in collusion and planning revenge.
- Location filming for the pub was conducted at "The Park" on Moorcroft Road, Wythenshawe.
