Terry Pritchard was a short-term designer for Coronation Street working on the programme for just eight weeks and 16 episodes from July to August 1966 although he also designed seven episodes of the spin-off Pardon the Expression in the same year.
His career was a long one, spanning over forty years and beginning at Granada Television with Skyport in 1960. For the same company he went on to work on Knight Errant Limited, Family Solicitor, The Music of Lennon & McCartney and The Man in Room 17, before he worked for various companies in the late 1960s and early 1970s on series such as Armchair Theatre and Callan.
Later his work became more international with work on Magnum P.I. though he returned to his roots with Granada with work on Brideshead Revisited. He then worked on films and television as an art director and production designer including The Sailor's Return , Oxford Blues, Biggles: Adventures in Time, The French Lieutenant's Woman , The Bridge, Christopher Columbus: The Discovery, The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, David Copperfield and The Count of Monte Cristo.
