Edward Morris (born 9th November 1928 in Birmingham, died 17th May 1988 in Stockport) appeared on Coronation Street in five roles:
- Bus conductor Charlie in February 1961
- Harry Pegg in June 1965 and March 1966
- A site workman in April and May 1968
- Bookies clerk Ted Loftus, who appeared intermittently between October 1968 and May 1978
- Mr Prendergast in March 1987.
He also appeared as an extra in October 1963 and in an episode of the Street spin-off Pardon the Expression.
His other television credits include roles in Knight Errant Limited, The Villains, Crossroads, The Flaxton Boys, Shabby Tiger, Crown Court, The XYY Man, Emmerdale, The Outsider, The Return of the Antelope and Brookside. On the bigger screen, he had an uncredited role in the 1963 film Billy Liar.
He spent many years in repertory theatre, playing parts at Bilston in Staffordshire, the Oldham Coliseum and the Nottingham Playhouse.
