Suzie Baxter appeared intermittently on Coronation Street between October 2000 and January 2015 as Dot Sutherland, the mother of Kirk Sutherland and Maria Connor.
He other television appearances in include Burnside, Casualty and Vital Signs.
Her main acting vocation though is for comic acting and it was in this role that she appeared in a co-written, one-woman play at the Edinburgh festival called Guilty Women in which she played ten separate roles which was reviewed in The Scotsman as being a "riotous, witty and satirical study of desperate housewives" with her performance described as "unflinchingly nimble work". Also on stage, she has been seen in Women on the Verge at Oldham Coliseum and The Importance of Being Earnest at Derby Playhouse.
