Sue Kelly appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- A WPC who in June 2000, was one of the police team brought in after an unbalanced and grief-stricken Alison Webster took newly-born Bethany Platt from Weatherfield General, hours after her own infant son Jake had died. (Credited as "Sue Norville").
- A foster mother who temporarily had Chesney Battersby-Brown in her charge during March 2008
- Trish Brooks-Benson, a journalist for the Weatherfield Gazette who covered the opening night of The Joinery bar in November 2010
- Weatherfield General-based Doctor Newall, appearing intermittently between June 2012 and December 2017.
She graduated from Salford University with a BA (Hons) in Dance and Theatre Performance in 2000.
Her other credits include roles in Always and Everyone, Cold Feet, Holby City, Phoenix Nights, Fat Friends, Cutting It, The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, Strictly Confidential, Dalziel and Pascoe, Waterloo Road, Line of Duty and Stepping Up, along with the 1985 film Code of Silence.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Boston Marriage and Emerge.
