Su Douglas (born 8th November 1942 in Nottingham) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in October 1996 as Mrs Bardsley, a professional mediator who Jim and Liz McDonald met with in hope of sorting out their differences; and she returned to the programme in both January and July 2012 as Meredith McGuire, a governor of Bessie Street School.
Her other television credits include roles in Chance in a Million, Rude Health, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Sunburn, Doctors, Fireman Sam, You, Me & Them, Casualty, Mr Selfridge and Pennyworth, along with the films The Boys in Blue, Carry on Columbus, London to Brighton and several works in the Fireman Sam franchise.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Piaf, Whodunnit?, Colourings, Calendar Girls, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Broadway Bound, Lend me a Tenor, Double Falsehood and Last Confessions of a Scallywag.
