Stephen Dillon (born "Stephen John Dillane" on 27th March 1957 in Kensington, London) appeared on Coronation Street in May 1986 as Mark Siddall, a customer of Tilsley's Garage.
Best known for his work under his birth name, he began his career as a journalist but took up acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School at the age of twenty-five.
His other television credits include roles in The One Game, Christabel, The Rector's Wife, Kings in Grass Castles, Anna Karenina, The Cazalets, John Adams, Eternal Law, Hunted, Secret State, A Touch of Cloth, The Tunnel, Alex Rider, Vigil and Red Election, but he is best known for playing Stannis Baratheon in Game of Thrones from 2012 to 2015.

His son, Frank Dillane, appeared in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
