Stephanie Turner (born 25th May 1944 in Bradford) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- A customer at Miami Modes in May 1967
- Bagpipe girl Marion in September of the same year
- Shirley Walton, a girlfriend of Ray Langton, who appeared between April and May 1968.
She graduated from Manchester University with a degree in drama.
With an acting career stretching over four decades, her most important television roles have both been in Northern police procedural dramas. She appeared as WPC Howarth of Z Cars in the early 1970s and as Inspector Jean Darblay, the principal character in the first three series of Juliet Bravo between 1980 and 1982. Other television credits include roles in The Dustbinmen, Z Cars, Sam, Emmerdale, Heartland, The Hello Girls and At Home with the Braithwaites.
On stage, she appeared in productions of How the Other Half Loves, Absurd Person Singular, Hobson's Choice, Clay, Benefactors, An Ideal Husband, No Big Deal, Someone Waiting and The Hobbit.
Stephanie retired from acting in 2010 and lives in London.
