Stanley Dawson (born 12th September 1936 in Marylebone, London; died 12th March 2003 in Sefton, Merseyside) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in February 1969 as a hospital male orderly present when Minnie Caldwell was admitted suffering from exposure; and he returned to the programme as Sergeant Harrison, who helped evacuate the street after a gas leak in March 1973, and who attended when Stuart Draper drove his car into the Rovers Return Inn in February 1974.

He worked on television mainly for Granada and his other credits include City '68, Spindoe, The War of Darkie Pilbeam (scripted by Tony Warren), Shabby Tiger, Sam, Crown Court, Village Hall, The Cuckoo Waltz and The Liver Birds.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The King's Mare and Conduct Unbecoming.
