The Sonographer examined a pregnant Alina Pop when she went into Weatherfield General in August 2021 suffering from stomach pains. With her equally anxious partner Tyrone Dobbs by her side, Alina was relieved to hear that a heartbeat had been located and they were delighted when the sound was switched on so that they could hear it for themselves. Listening to the banter between the couple, the sonographer asked if they wanted to know the sex of the baby and was able to tell them that they were expecting a boy.
In April 2022, Faye Windass was the expectant mother after a home test showed that she was pregnant. Within moments, the sonographer left the room saying she had to get a second opinion and once that was procured broke the news to Faye that she had never been pregnant, and her test had been a false positive. As it had been some time since she had had a regular period, the sonographer advised her to see her GP and ensure that were no underlying issues.
