Simon Gough (born 15th August 1942 in London, died 4th February 2018 in Norfolk) appeared on Coronation Street in May 1965 as Rupert Andrews, a young toff from the Cheshire set who bullied Dennis Tanner during an outing to Oulton Park.

The son of actor Michael Gough, he was first a journalist, then trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He also appeared in ITV Play of the Week, The Wednesday Play, Armchair Theatre, The Mind of Mr. J.G. Reeder, Special Branch, The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes, Jason King and A Country Practice. On the bigger screen, he appeared in the films The Corpse and Ups & Downs.

After giving up acting, he became an antiquarian bookshop owner and author. His autobiography entitled The White Goddess: An Encounter was published in 2014.
