Shela Ward (died July 1997 in Hastings) appeared on Coronation Street between September and October 1961 as Concepta Riley's mother, Shelagh.
She was also credited for roles in The Snow Queen, Hour of Mystery, Call Me Sam, The Roving Reasons, Suspense and various characters within instalments of BBC Sunday-Night Theatre, ITV Play of the Week and BBC Sunday-Night Play, along with the 1955 feature film The End of the Affair.
On stage, she appeared in productions of The Doctor in Bean Street, Blind Man's Buff, Juno and the Paycock and The Shadow of a Gunman.
