Sheila Bernette (born 30th March 1939 in London) appeared in Coronation Street in July 1973 as Sister Delaney who helped treat Elsie Howard when she was knocked down by a taxi in London.

She also appeared in Hancock, The Good Old Days, The Good Old Days, The Morecambe & Wise Show, The Dick Emery Show, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Butterflies, Agony Again and Hotel Trubble.

Film roles include parts in Sons and Lovers, Ticket to Paradise, The Wild Affair, The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins, What's Up Nurse! and My Life in Ruins.

Radio work includes Monday Night at Home, Late Joys, Not for Children, The Roy Hudd Show, Offbeat with Braden and The Players.
