Sean Skinner was a bookmaker who bought the Rosamund Street betting shop in 1994 and employed Des Barnes as manager.

Sean was a hands-on boss, especially when it came to staffing. When Liz McDonald worked there, he made a play for her, while at the same time he was after Steve for gambling debts. He left the area in 1997 after being dumped by Samantha Failsworth, but held onto the shop until 2001 when he sold up to Peter Barlow.
