Sean Drummond Scanlan (born 18th August 1948 in Glasgow, died 17th April 2017, also in Glasgow) appeared on Coronation Street between July and August 1985 as corrupt builder Les Pringle, briefly working for Alf Roberts.

His other television credits included roles in Airline, The Beiderbecke Affair, Travelling Man, Take the High Road, Playing for Real, The Beiderbecke Connection, The Bill, Rab C. Nesbitt, Taggart, The Tales of Para Handy, Heartbeat, Hamish Macbeth, Big Bad World, Two Thousand Acres of Sky and Katie Morag.

Film roles included A Sense of Freedom, The Big Man, Blue Black Permanent, The Near Room, My Life So Far, Verborgen gebreken and Whisky Galore.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The White Devil, Corporal Gemmell, Love for Love, Timon of Athens, The Glass Menagerie, Troilus and Cressida, Comedians, Guys and Dolls, Pratt's Fall, The Life of Stuff, The Weir and Victoria.
