Sean Caffrey (born 15th April, 1940 in Belfast, died 25th April, 2013, also in Belfast) played escaped convict Frank Riley on Coronation Street in August 1968.

His other credits include Redcap, a regular role in No Hiding Place, Softly Softly: Task Force, Paul Temple, The Brothers, Z Cars, Survivors, Doctor Who, The Professionals , Minder, The Professionals , Lytton's Diary, Edge of Darkness, Harry's Game, Bergerac and The Bill.

Film roles included Time Lost and Time Remembered, The Viking Queen and When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth.

He made his stage debut in his native Northern Ireland at the New Theatre Bangor in Northern Ireland and also appeared at the Bristol Old Vic and at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast.

On radio he was heard in an 1993 adaptation of Children of the Dead End and editions of The Monday Play and Theatre Minute Theatre.
