Actress Sasha Behar was born on 25th September, 1971 in London. After early roles in Agatha Christie's Poirot and Thief Takers, she gained a regular role in the 2000 Channel 4 legal drama North Square and two years later in the romantic comedy drama Rescue Me. The following year she appeared in Coronation Street as classic villainess "Mad Maya" Sharma, the solicitor who went off the rails when she was dropped by her fiancé Dev Alahan and ended up attempting to kill him and Sunita Parekh.
She later went on to appear in Casualty, Lewis and Doctor Who. On the big screen, she appeared in the 2008 film Incendiary.
On stage she acted with the Royal Shakespeare Company, however not in any Shakespearean roles although she has played parts for other companies in Richard III, Troilus and Cressida, and, most notably, Macbeth in which she played the role of Lady Macbeth at the Leicester Haymarket Theatre.
She lives in London with partner Jamie Glover (the son of actors Julian Glover and Isla Blair) with whom she has two children.
