Sarah Brookes (née Sullivan) was the sister of Ted Sullivan, wife of Philip and mother to Roger Brookes. In March 1992, Ted went to visit Sarah in Brighton, after she underwent hip replacement surgery. When Ted discovered he had contracted a brain tumour he refused to tell his sister. After his death he left £2,000 to Sarah, and £1,000 each to Philip and Roger.
