Sandra Maitland (born 1956 in Coventry) appeared on Coronation Street in March 1989 as Veronica Marchant, an unsuccessful applicant for the position of Rovers' barmaid.
She graduated from Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre in 1982.
Best known for her role as the long-suffering Mandy Jordache in Brookside from 1993 to 1995, her other credits include roles in The Practice, Casualty, The Sharp End, Kinsey, Dangerfield, Doctors, Being April, Holby City, Coming Up, Uncle and Silent Witness.
On stage, she appeared in a 2002 UK touring production of Misery.
While for radio, she had a regular role in Life with Lederer as well as An Oscar for Janice and Boomerang.
