Sandra was a woman who had previously been in a relationship with Dev Alahan and had given birth to two of his children.
Dev's wife Sunita was shocked to discover that he had been in a relationship with Ravinder Kalirai and that she was living rent-free in a flat above one of his shops. When Sunita berated Ravinder for her and Dev's affair, she revealed that their relationship ended years ago when she gave birth to his daughter Amber.
Sunita was comforted by Ravinder but while reassuring her that Dev was a good bloke, she inadvertently let slip that Dev had children with other former partners including Sandra, who worked at his shop in Gorton.
Sunita got in contact with Sandra to tell her that Dev wanted to see her at the corner shop. When she arrived, Sunita began to question Sandra on her time with Dev, asking if her children had separate fathers. Sandra told him that it was two short times as Dev had no desire to stay and offended Sunita by suggesting that he only married her as he wanted a 'nice little Asian wife that his mum would approve of'. While leaving, Sandra let slip about another woman linked to Dev, Shareen, who worked with Sandra at the Gorton shop.
