Samantha Elizabeth Giles (born 2nd July 1971 in Maidstone, Kent) appeared on Coronation Street in both October 1994 and September 1995 as Kirsty, the secretary of Angela Hawthorne.
She read English and Drama at Bristol University.
Best known for her role of Bernice Blackstock in Emmerdale in three stints between 1998 and 2023, her other credits include roles in New Voices, Dangerfield, Where the Heart Is, Doctors, Hollyoaks, The Case, Mad Dogs, Crime Stories and Nomad.
On stage, she appeared in a touring production of A Taste of Honey as Helen. Other works include Seasons Greetings, Dead Funny, Absent Friends and Party Piece.
Her debut novel, Rosemary and the Witches of Pendle was published in August 2020.
