S. Keith James (born "Keith Clifford James" on 10th December 1937 in Southend-on-Sea, died 5th December 1996 also in Southend) wrote one episode of Coronation Street - namely Episode 745 (5th February 1968).
As an actor, he appeared on the programme in two roles: firstly in March 1967 as the magistrate who fined Ken Barlow £5 for taking part in an anti-Vietnam student demonstration; before returning in July of the following year as a removal man who cleared the stock and shelving from Gamma Garments following its impromptu closure.
He also appeared in Maupassant, Crossroads, Champion House, Mr. Rose, Castle Haven, Doctor Who, Public Eye, Bernie and Dick Turpin.
He is one of eight people to both write for and appear in the show, along with Bob Mason, Alick Hayes, Ray H. Dunbobbin, Stephen Mallatratt, Martyn Hesford, Jim Cartwright and Ian Kershaw.
