Rula Romanoff was an old friend of Rita Sullivan's from her club days.
Rula reconnected with Rita in September 2004 and Rita's friend Norris Cole was instantly taken with her after she likened him to Robert De Niro. When Rula invited the pair over for dinner a smitten Norris assumed that she fancied him, however Rula was under the impression that Norris and Rita were a couple. At another dinner party Norris was disappointed when Rula introduced her husband Bernie but perked up when Rula suggested that they meet again. Later that month Norris and Rita stopped over at Rula and Bernie's country house, but Rita was left horrified when Bernie let himself into her room and climbed into her bed. Rita discovered to her shock that they had been invited to a Swinger's party and, after finding Norris pinned to his bed by Rula, the pair left and agreed never to mention the experience again.
