Roy Brandon (born 1948 in Liverpool) appeared on Coronation Street in February 1985 as DJ Barry Pollard, who outraged Percy Sugden when he appeared under his stage name of "Kaiser Bill".
He started out as a singer, then became a comic before branching out into acting.
His other credits include roles in Brookside, Bread, And the Beat Goes On, Playing the Field, Johnny and the Bomb, Lilies, Mobile, Brassic and Hollyoaks, along with the 1999 film Julie and the Cadillacs.
On stage, he appeared in a 2011 production of Brick Up the Mersey Tunnels at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool, along with a season in pantomime.
